The 2011 Shred Off is being sponsored by our friends at Act 1 Music in Langley, BC, and they are powered by Egnater amplifiers, as well as our friends at R&R Music in Delta, powered by Engl amplifiers. Come down to the Shred Off to hear these amazing amplifiers.

  Auditions will run from 11AM-2:30PM, and the Finale showdown will be in the performance room starting at 3PM. You can apply in person in the entertainment auditorium for auditions.

  The Vancouver Guitar Show is proud to host the annual “Shred Off” player’s contest. At every show we host this event, in which player’s audition all day before a panel of judges made up from some of our great local teachers. The two finalists get to battle it out trading off  licks from their own bag ‘o’ tricks on the main stage. Categories for the contest include over 19, and 19 and under. The 19 and under category has proven to be the most entertaining and popular category, as many local young up and coming guitarists get a chance to play for, and establish themselves, as a part of the musical community.

  To enter the Shred Off, just come to the show, and apply in person (you do have to pay admission). Bring your own guitar, and we’ll supply the amp. Be sure to arrive well in time before 2:30PM to enter.
